Applying to WSU as a Freshman is a three-step process

1. Submit your online application at

– The $50 application fee can be easily waived
– Applications for 2021 school year will open August 1st 2020


2. Send us your official SAT/ACT test scores

– We super-score


3. Send us your high school and/or college transcripts

– Assured admission to WSU is a 3.5 high school GPA or higher (unweighted)

1. In-state

– $2,000 or $4,000 scholarships based on GPA and SAT/ACT test scores
– Renewable for two-years
– 3.4 GPA minimum


2. Out-of-state

– Cougar Award – $7,000 every year for 4 years
– 3.0-3.39 High School GPA
– Distinguished Cougar Award (WUE) – $11,000 every year for 4 years
– 3.4-4.0 GPA
